New projects for Marzahn-Hellersdorf: Citizens shape their neighborhood

A real firework of ideas for the district: On September 10, 2024, the Helle Mitte town hall opened its goals for the final vote on the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district budget 2024! After calling in summer, which resulted in a true flood of creative suggestions to beautify the neighborhood, there are now 13 projects in the starting blocks that will be realized by the end of the year.

Diverse, accessible and quickly implementable-this is how the ideas that make the heart of Marzahn-Hellersdorf beat faster. From lively hands-on activities and exciting events to creative interventions in public space and tangible material investments-the wealth of ideas is impressive!

The most exciting projects at a glance

The titles of the successful projects make you take notice and promise a lot of variety:

  1. Rainbow network for queer, alternative relationship and family forms
  2. weatherproof roof in the garden of the Kunsthaus Flora
  3. tinkering with children and their accompaniment

  8. football for everyone! A football AG in the community accommodation
  9. Joint care campaign in the district school garden of the Pusteblume elementary school
