New ideas workshop for climatic space on the Alice Salomon Square in Berlin. Now participate!
On Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the Senate Department for Urban Development, Building and Living now invites you to the 2nd Idea workshop in the district information center (BIZ) at Hellersdorfer Straße 159, 12619 Berlin.
The first idea workshop for creating climate-friendly and appealing freedom on Alice Salomon-Platz took place on Thursday, October 5, 2023. Numerous committed citizens were able to contribute their ideas, wishes and suggestions there, which became particularly clear that the strong traffic in the area is perceived as an important challenge.
Ideas for the redesign of the square were collected, needs with regard to events and offers on the pitch, transport and mobility, as well as climate adaptation, resilience and green and the special features of the platform worked out.
District Mayor Nadja Zivkovic: "The ideas workshops offer everyone interested a great opportunity to bring in and their ideas for a new design of the Alice Salomon Square. As different as the people are the ideas and wishes for the place-I look at this central area of the district every day and I am very excited to see how it will develop."
In the run-up to the competition for the new design of the Alice Salomon Platz, various participation formats for public participation are offered online and in presence until the end of 2023. The results then flow into the task for the planning competition that started in spring 2024.

On November 2, another ideas workshop for the design of the Alice Salomon Platz in Berlin will take place. The first workshop in October was already a great success and met with great interest on the part of the citizens. The main topic and the associated challenge is the strong traffic around the square. The participants of the workshop were able to contribute ideas and suggestions to redesign the square and express needs with regard to events, traffic, climate adjustment and green.
The district mayor Nadja Zivkovic emphasized the importance of citizen participation and is happy about the diverse commitment of the participants: inside. She watches Alice Salomon Platz every day and is looking forward to its development. In addition to the ideas workshops, other participation formats are also planned to include the public in the design process. All results then flow into the planning competition that starts in spring 2024.

It is expected that the new design of the Alice Salomon Square will have a positive impact on the attractiveness of the district and take into account the needs of the citizens.
