Marzahner audience award for visual arts: coordination for favorite work in the project room gallery M
According to a report by www.berlin.de "Beton Fuchs" awarded for the second time. From November 28th to December 15th, 2023, visitors have the opportunity to coordinate for their favorite work in the project room Galerie M. The winners will then be announced on December 16, 2023. The first place receives a certificate, a statuette and a cash price of 500 euros, the second place a certificate and a cash prize of 300 euros and third place a certificate and a cash price of 200 euros. In addition, the statuette and the documents are also handed over on the day of the award.
The competition is open to all artists, regardless of age, gender, level of education or nationality. The works must be physically submitted in the project room gallery M on November 25, 2022. Every artist has the opportunity to exhibit as many works as she or he can accommodate on the intended place. The works are numbered and anonymous for the coordination. Visitors can vote for their favorite work from November 28 to December 15, 2023 during the opening hours of the exhibition. The vote takes place anonymously with numbered cards in the project room.
There are some restrictions on participation in the competition. There are no perishable, explosive or dangerous objects. Works that contain hate speeches or call for violence and hatred against individuals or groups of people are excluded from participation. The exhibition of the works of art lasts until February 3, 2024. Entry to the exhibition is free and the project room is accessible.
The new art initiative Marzahn-Hellersdorf ( NKI ) and the district office Marzahn-Hellersdorf organize the competition in cooperation with the Department of Culture Marzahn-Hellersdorf. It is funded by the Senate Department for Culture and Europe and supported by DEGEWO AG by the means of the district culture fund and the Besd II program. The Galerie M, in which the exhibition takes place, is located in the Marzahner Promenade 46, 12679 Berlin.
The exhibition series of the NKI and the project room Galerie M has existed since April 2018 and has already organized 22 respected exhibitions and various cultural events.
