Magical stories with Kerstin Hensel in the Marzahn library

A magical evening full of stories awaits you! On Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. , the district central library "Mark Twain" in Marzahner Promenade 55 in Berlin is transformed into a place of imagination. The celebrated author Kerstin Hensel takes the visitors on a trip to the world of her captivating narrative "The Happiness Haut".

Imagine: In 1804 Minna Lichsenring sees the light of day in the Mystical Ore Mountains - but not just that! She is born with a special “lucky skin”, which is supposed to give her a life full of happiness. But fate strikes relentlessly: her mother leaves her in the forest! Dazed by the hope of changing her unfortunate life, Minna meets seven mysterious mountain boys, and with one of them the adventure of her life begins.

In her story, Hensel weaves a gripping mix of dream and reality, while real historical events meet imaginative elements. Her words awaken the spirits of the Grimm’s fairy tales and the deep traditions of miners' sessions. It becomes all the more fascinating when the protagonist Minna, in her desperate search for her disappeared son Johannes, who becomes a henkersknecht, is confronted with the greatest exams. Here the border between reality and imagination is blurred!

Kerstin Hensel, an author with a passionate feeling for history and mysticism, not only gives the literary stage a name, but is also a lecturer at the renowned University of Schauspiel for Ernst Busch. An evening with her not only promises enjoyment, but also knowledge!
