New cultural program in Hellersdorf in August and September 2024
In the coming months, the Kulturverein NGBK in Hellersdorf will offer a diverse program of cultural events. From film screenings to photography exhibitions, there is something for every art lover. The events take place at various locations in Berlin and invite you to discover the variety of the capital's artistic scene.

A highlight of the program is the open-air cinema on the green area Maxie-Wander-Straße 79. On Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 9:00 p.m. the thriller "Down" from 1984 will be shown. The film is about an office in Frankfurt, in which an elevator gets stuck and a briefcase full of stolen funds causes excitement. The open -air cinema on Saturday, September 7th, 2024, offers another cinematic delicacies at 9:00 p.m. with the demonstration of "Unter Die Stadt" from 2010. The film portrays Frankfurt's investment banker and its self -construction of power.
art exhibitions and concerts for all senses
In addition to the film screenings, there are also numerous exhibition options to discover. In the "Classroom of the Future" pavilion, visitors can attend the exhibition "Labor School Berlin. Education of the Future of Hellersdorf" by September 15, 2024. The photo exhibition "Silver Tower Pavilion" by Matthias Hoch can also be seen around the clock until September 15, 2024. The exhibition shows photos of the former headquarters of Dresdner Bank, the "silver tower" after it was emptied in 2009 according to the bankruptcy of the bank.
On Saturday, September 14, 2024, a farewell party from Place Internationale with Tiele-Winkler-Haus takes place. Among other things, visitors can expect concerts, conversations and a DJ set. Eight years of artistic activities on the green area come to an end because the school office has to use the area for the “Berlin school building offensive”.

Another highlight of the cultural program takes place at the location of the urban cultures station in Auerbacher Ring 41. From September 15th to November 16, 2024, visitors can visit the photography exhibition "At the edges tumbles happiness, the late GDR in photography". The exhibition shows views of the late GDR until the upheaval of the early 1990s, documentary and artistic. The opening of the exhibition will take place on November 14, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. and is part of Berlin Art Week.
