First “Berlin Highland Games” inspire with new competitions and actions

The gardens of the world in Berlin will become the stage on the upcoming weekend from August 24th to 25th, 2024 for the first “Berlin Highlandgames”. The focus is not only on the Scottish show of strength, but also the variety of competitions and actions that invite the visiting of all ages to actively participate and show their strength.

The event offers interested parties aged 16 and over the opportunity to register for various competitions, including tree trunk slalom, carrying suitcases, stone blinds and tree trunk throwing. However, spontaneous participation on site is also possible to demonstrate your strength and skill in disciplines such as archery, tug -of -up or tree trunk throwing. Even the smallest visitors can participate and let their muscles play in the rubber boot throw or in the children's course.

In addition to the sporting activities, visitors can also expect show fights of the knight's guild, juggler demonstrations, historical craft and an entertaining treasure hunt. Musically, bands such as Spilwut, Tap Connection, Irish Beats Company and the Berlin Pipe Company provide the best atmosphere. A special highlight this year: Visitors in the traditional Highland Dress receive reduced admission for the first time.

The “Berlin Highlandgames” promise a weekend full of excitement, entertainment and sporting challenges for the whole family. Anyone who proves to be the strongest visitor also has the chance to win 4 × 2 tickets for the musical highlight in September 2024, the classical night "Viva la Musica". Under the motto "Limitless sounds", the Philharmonia Frankfurt presents classic masterpieces under the direction of chief conductor Juri Gilbo.

A special leisure and cultural event awaits all visitors who can look forward to a weekend full of sporting challenges and musical highlights.
