Marburger Bund calls for improvements to the hospital law in Berlin
тROTZ of the many positive approaches in the Hospital Supply improvement law (KHVVVG) sees the Marburg Bund's enormous need for action! In a lightning -like session that takes place in the German Bundestag today, the law is finally advised in 2nd and 3rd reading. But the greatest representatives of Germany warn in Germany: the reform fails due to their own demands!
"We hoped for a fundamental revision of hospital financing, which offers the clinics real planning security and takes economic pressure from patient care. But the result is disappointed!" So Dr. Susanne Johna, the 1st Chair of the Marburg Confederation. Instead of a real turn, the current regulations make things even more complicated: the flat -rate supports do not keep what they promise! They are far too much tied to the number of cases and ignore the actual need for care, which is urgently necessary due to the increased complexity in the clinics.
Medical staffing in the focus
After all, there is light at the end of the tunnel: The Marburg Bund is happy about the new changes in the law that promise structural improvements. With the gradual introduction of a medical personnel consideration system, hospitals should be able to meet their responsibility to ensure that doctors care for needs. "If the institute for the fee system in the hospital actually integrates the additional costs of medical training appropriately into the remuneration, that would be real progress!" adds Johna.
But the worries are great: the dynamics of capacity removal increase! This is not a result of conscious decisions, but testifies to a catastrophic financing of the operating costs. "The planning authorities have to know exactly what effects the new instruments on the structures in cities and rural areas will have in advance. It is no wonder that the countries collect the lack of an effect analysis!" explains Dr. Johna.
The Marburg Confederation is now urgently calling for an in -depth discussion between the federal and state governments! This is the only way to achieve the goals aimed at with the hospital reform. Otherwise the reform remains exactly: a law full of intentions that unfortunately remains far behind the expectations in practice!
