Designing the future: District office Lichtenberg starts business road management
A new chapter begins in Lichtenberg! The district office has now launched a groundbreaking business road management (GSM), which should not only revitalize the shopping streets, but also to make future -proof. On Monday, October 21, 2024 , an exciting kick -off event took place, in which the business development and the planning office "Slapa and the spatial planners" informed the present on urgent topics: the results of a comprehensive inventory analysis, target specifications and first concrete measures were on the agenda. Full throttle for retail - that's the motto!
Nils Busch-Petersen, Managing Director of the Berlin-Brandenburg trade association stood on the stage. In his thrilling keynote speech, he addressed "the change in business roads - challenge and opportunities". So how can you lighten the image of the streets and at the same time create a pulsating shopping environment? The GSM focuses on the Weitlingkiez and Konrad-Wolf-Straße as well as the center of Neu-Hohenschönhausen and thus becomes the central contact for all questions about the local economy.
visions for a living neighborhood
"Our business roads are an important factor for the district of Lichtenberg," emphasizes district mayor Martin Schaefer (CDU). "They are not only economically important, but also contribute significantly to the quality of life of the residents and strengthen our neighborhoods." The upgrading of the image, the establishment of a durable network and, of course, improving the quality of residence and use- these are the great goals of the project, which is supported by important funding, such as the European Fund for regional development (ERR).
The strategy is not only specified in concrete terms, but also underpinned with a well thought -out marketing strategy. Together with traders, retail actors and real estate owners, a new network is to be created that develops dynamically and controls the development of business roads efficiently. The citizens celebrate the change!
strong partner on board
Numerous faces took place at the opening event - Burhan Cetinkaya, head of the Lichtenberg, Jasmine Nurin, project management of business development, Sabine Slapa from Dieraumplaner and many other passionate supporters. Together they stand up for a lively Lichtenberg in which shopping becomes an experience!
What does that mean for the citizens? More quality of stay and a colorful shopping life. The first measures will soon become visible - the pulse of the city beats stronger than ever!
