Organic Geometric: Exhibition with recycled materials in Berlin-Lichtenberg until January 2024.

On Thursday, October 19, 2023, the exhibition "Organic Geometric" will open in the RK - Gallery for Contemporary Art. The designer and artist trio Paola Kubes, Andrea Bonfini and Fabrizio Frau from Berlin-Lichtenberg presents handmade works made of recycled materials in their studio. The multimedia installation was specially designed for the rooms of the gallery in the former Ratskeller Lichtenberg. The exhibition runs until January 17, 2024 and is free of charge from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Möllendorffstrasse 6.

The artists' works are inspired by the industrial legacy of the Lichtenberg district and the local artist community, which enriches the cityscape through their art. This district has great potential as a source of inspiration and the exhibition encourages visitors to find their own stories in the different art objects.

The three designers share a common passion for geometric and colorful symbols as well as the desire to breathe new life into used materials and supposed waste. This is done by a handicraft process that gives them order.

In her installation,

Paola Kubes combines the bright colors of your childhood in South America with the geometric lines of a big city. It experimented with various materials from the areas of interior design, upholstery, surface design and lighting and gives you a new perception through renovation and reuse.

Andrea Bonfini presents his installation "blue", which consists of recycled jeans and old fabrics and interacts with a "sound dress" from macropplacets from used doses. Bonfini's work has already been shown in various European galleries and exhibitions. In 2015 he founded the zero-siphoned cladding label "Fade Out Label".

The works of Fabrizio Mrs. range from organic to geometric shapes with strong colors and varnishes. In this exhibition, he combines canvases with three -dimensional works of art and is inspired by the geometry of the prefabricated building and the role of women in society.

The exhibition "Organic Geometric" offers visitors the opportunity to deal with the artistic scene in Berlin-Lichtenberg and to get to know the diverse creative forms of expression of the three artists.
