New crisis team in the youth welfare office Lichtenberg starts on April 2, 2024

The regional social pedagogical service (RSD) of the youth welfare office Lichtenberg has launched a new team of crisis, which started his work on April 2, 2024. The team consists of eight selected social workers who will take over all crisis operations on weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. So far there has been a standby service in which the social workers of the youth welfare office were used on a daily basis in the rotation system.

The district councilor responsible for the youth division, Camilla Schuler (Die Linke), emphasizes the importance of supporting children, adolescents and families in different life situations, even in difficult crisis situations. The new team of crisis is intended to make the youth welfare work of the youth welfare office more effective and more focused. At the same time, this enables the other specialists to relieve the crisis operations.

The youth welfare office Lichtenberg hopes for an increased professional competence in crisis work through the new structure. The crisis team can be reached by Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. at (030) 902 96-55 55 and by email at crisen team@lichtenberg.berlin.de. Outside of these times, those affected can contact the central Berlin emergency service child protection at (030) 61 00 61.

The crisis team of the Lichtenberg youth welfare office offers an important point of contact for families in acute crisis situations. The specialized social workers should ensure better support and advice in difficult times through their competence and experience.
