Am Freitag, den 21. Juni 2024, besuchte die Staatssekretärin Ellen Haußdörfer das Integrierte Gesundheitszentrum (IGZ) Lichtenberg im Ärztehaus des Storchenhof-Center in Berlin, um das Angebot des Vereins „soziale Gesundheit“ in Zusammenarbeit mit der Allgemeinarztpraxis Dr. med. Burkhardt & Heinemann kennenzulernen. Die Bezirksstadträtin Dr. Catrin Gocksch empfing die Staatssekretärin und begleitete sie während des Termins. Das Integrierte Gesundheitszentrum Lichtenberg dient als wichtige Einrichtung für die wohnortnahe, lückenlose und qualitativ hochwertige Versorgung im Bezirk. Dr. Catrin Gocksch emphasized the importance of the IGZ for the community and praised the trust that the Senate Department for Science, Health and Care brings the Lichtenberger model.

Since 2013, Social Health e.V. has been offering internal medical practice with "Case and Care Management" for patients, both on site, by telephone and as part of home visits. In cooperation with nine family doctor and four pediatric practices, the offer was successfully evaluated. In 2023, the concept for the IGZ was further developed and expanded to include psychological advice and health advice. Funding is carried out by means of the Senate Department for Science, Health and Care. The consultants play an important pilot function and network the patient: inside with other offers in the district.
