On Saturday, September 7, 2024, the annual lake festival of the Obersee & Orankesee e.V. This family festival is under the patronage of Lichtenberg's district mayor Martin Schaefer (CDU) and is organized by around 80 volunteers.
Visitors can look forward to an extraordinary cosmic spectacle that comes up with huge space objects, trapezoidal art on a flight machine and a performance by "Major Tom". In addition to these highlights, guests traditionally expect music, games, sports and lots of fun.
The tickets for the lake festival are available in advance for 6 euros, and they cost 8 euros at the box office. Children up to twelve years have free admission. The tickets can be purchased on the Internet on the official website of the festival, as well as in the Oranksbuch bookstore at Konrad-Wolf-Straße 29 and in the Organesee lido.
District Mayor Martin Schaefer is already looking forward to the festival and emphasizes the importance of the commitment of the Obersee & Orankesee association for the community. He also emphasizes the special participation of friends from the partner cities of Jurbakas in Lithuania and Maputo in Mozambique.
The chairman of the association, Björn Döring, emphasizes the importance of the lake festival as an opportunity to strengthen the community and to promote exchange among people. The festival offers a diverse program that ranges from music from the swing era to Viet-German electropop to acrobatics and street dancing. Children can look forward to handicrafts, games and treats, while artists from the Cabuwazi circus offer workshops and show performances.
The district coordination "The Good Pol" invites you to the neighborhood rally and the puppet artist Thomas Herfort provides an amusing puppet show. The raffle attracts with prices from generous donors from the neighborhood. In the evening the Berlin premiere of the new show of the V.O.S.A. Theater from Prague "The Planets" with space objects and acrobatics takes place. The band "Composer district" will present well -known songs around planets, sizes and the universe. Sports enthusiasts can look forward to volleyball, rugby, table tennis and boules. The annual sing -along evening with the Orankkechor is also on the program.
