Construction projects in October: Lichtenberg plans accommodations and schools
The Lichtenberg district office has great to announce in the bulging of October 2024! Whole 1 million euros are available for decisive construction and planning projects. A total of six locations are used to redesign the urban space and create urgently needed living space.
A highlight among the new plans is Herzbergstraße 117 in Lichtenberg. Here the orphaned administration building of a former production hall, which once served as a music school, is to be converted into a home for refugees and homeless people. This measure marks a crucial step in the right direction in order to meet the needs of those seeking protection and society.
new building applications in Lichtenberg
Three exciting building applications for each 1 million euros have arrived, including the project in Sandinostraße 8 in Alt-Hohenschönhausen. Here the renovation and replacement construction of schools and sports halls is on the plan - the outdoor facilities are also renewed! Another application concerns Hauptstraße 61 in Rummelsburg, where a modern residential building with 158 units in wood-hybrid construction is to be built. And that's not all! In Walkünestraße 17 in Karlshorst, the foundation for 234 new apartments is laid!
But that's not the end of the flagpole! Two other building projects issued according to § 75 BauO were announced. In Gärtnerstraße 19 there is an ensemble of three residential buildings that promises a new attitude to life. And in the extended Waldowallee, the old Aldi market will be razed to the ground to make room for a new trade and student living.
Fortunately, the planning books remain active this month, but no building preliminary notices according to §§ 63 and 64 BauO were granted. But every look at the latest developments shows that work is used in Lichtenberg to meet the needs of citizens. Stay tuned - it remains exciting!
