The Board of Trustees Celebrate Birthday: 75 years of clarification about good seeing and looking
The Board of Trustees Goods see (KGS) celebrates its 75th anniversary. Since its foundation in 1949, the KGS has been doing important educational work on the topic. With manufacturer -neutral information and extensive campaigns, the board of trustees contributes to increased awareness of good vision and appearance in the German population. The anniversary is used as an occasion to take a look at the work of the KG's previous work and to set new priorities for the future.
The Board of Trustees was originally founded as a "funding community of German optics" and is one of the first educational initiatives in healthcare in Germany. Since then, the work of the KGS has continued to develop and the goal of clarifying the population about the importance of good vision and pointing out the competence of the opticians has remained unchanged.
One of the great strengths of the board of trustees is modern consumer education that creates a strong media echo. With over 6,000 contributions online and offline as well as an ads of more than 9 million euros in 2023, the KGS reaches a general public. In addition, large consumer campaigns in the 1950s contributed to clarifying the population about the importance of good vision.
The KGS is not only offline, but also online. The specialized websites of the Board of Trustees offer comprehensive information and services on various eye -optical topics. Every year, over two million people fall back on these offers. The online see check and the integrated optics search, which is one of the largest in Germany, are particularly popular.
A focus of the board of trustees in the anniversary year is on the subject of myopia management in order to tackle the growing short -sightedness among the population and to show solutions to slow down myopia. In addition, the KGS plans the publication of a study on the visual awareness of the German population in 2025 and the development of an app for style advice for glasses wearers.
Without the support of the members, the successful work of the KG would not be possible. Around 4,700 opticians, three state guild associations and ten large industrial companies are currently supporting the industry initiative. The members of the board of trustees benefit not only from public relations, but also from individual advantages such as listing in one of the largest German optician searches and free social media templates.
The Board of Trustees Goods see (KGS) looks back on 75 years of successful educational work and sees the future optimistically. Cooperation with the optics industry is the key to success and together the future of good vision can be designed.
