The highlights of the week
Let's go on Monday, November 4th! If you always wanted to know how Germany deals with nuclear waste, you should stop by at 2 p.m. in the glass pavilion on the Essen campus. Michel Köbl from the Society for Nuclear Service will give us exciting insights!
Tuesday, November 5, starts with a lively lecture on hydrogen and its liquefaction through magnetic cooling. Dr. Tino Gottschall awaits us at 9 a.m. - really exciting, right? Happiness for all math and physics fans!
That day continues with a special colloquium that is about the topic of social mobility in literature. Prof. Dr. Corinna simply show at 2 p.m. how poverty and gender are linked in romantic texts. This event takes place in the Cinemaxx in Essen! With so much education, the popcorn round may look very different!
and then, at 5 p.m., expert knowledge at the finest: The academic consulting center shows us how to negotiate in salary. Graduates, watch out!
On Wednesday, November 6th, there is a special kind of art enjoyment: The Irish band "Tale of the Gael" will provide musical relaxation during lunch break at 12:15 p.m. - a perfect opportunity to relax between the lectures! After all, the genre "Irish Folk" touches the soul!

Pure science on Wednesday! Dr. Gabriele Cugno brings us closer to the development of planet at 1 p.m., supported by breathtaking pictures of the James Webb space telescope. You have to see that!
The topics of this week are so wide that you have the feeling that you could cover an entire universe of knowledge. On Thursday, November 7th, for example, everything revolves around the challenges of refugee children and young people. Dr. Ramona Thümmler will give interesting insights into flight and trauma from 4 p.m.
On the last day of the event, Saturday, November 9th, it will be practical: A digital event of the academic consulting center gives valuable tips on how job interviews can be mastered. All prospective professionals are invited to deal with application strategies!
