On July 14, 2024, an important event took place in the Reinickendorf district, in which the RVP Saffonia e.V. not only hosted its annual children's regatta, but also received a special honor. The district councilor Kerstin Köppen was on site to hand over the special remedy badge to the club.

In the course of 2024, the association applied for special funds of € 3,500 from the district council (BVV) Reinickendorf. These funds are crucial in order to continue to be able to carry out the children's regatta regularly. Thanks to the funds provided, several folding tents could now be purchased that enable the participants pleasant conditions during the event.
