Kiezfest am Poppele-Platz: Neighborhood celebrates and designs the future!

Poppele-Platz, Berlin, Deutschland - On Friday, June 20, 2025, a special festival will take place on Poppele-Platz in the Rollberg Hocolor from 3 to 7 p.m., organized by the Reinickendorf district office in cooperation with the Titiseseestraße district management and the neighborhood laboratory. Under the motto "A festival of the neighborhood", visitors can expect an exciting program that emphasizes both cultural and community aspects. Poppele-Platz is a central meeting point in the neighborhood, which is currently facing major challenges and can expect a redesign.

The highlights of the festival include stage appearances by local groups such as the Brightly Dancers, the school choir, "Peter the Guitar Man" and the Rapduo Global Origins. In addition, various hands -on activities and information stands of institutions such as the district center of Rollberge, Mosaik e.V., the youth professor, the Maltese and the AWO Pro offer insights into community life. Culinary offers provide the physical well -being and enough opportunities for exchange among the neighbors.

The event marks the start of participation in the redesign of the Poppele-Platz. The future concept should make the space safer, more child -friendly and more lively. As part of this redesign, the neighborhood laboratory acts as a creative dialogue room, where ideas can be actively developed. From June 20 to July 2, it will be mobile and open daily. Actions such as chalk malactions, karaoke and cooking together should promote creative exchange and actively include the residents in the planning.

District Councilor Korinna Stephan (B’90/Greens) emphasizes the importance of this festival for participation and social cohesion in the roller mountain settlement. She emphasized that this type of events promoted the exchange and that people of different origins can come together, which is of central importance for the district.

Other offers and activities in the Kiez

In addition to the festival, an exciting series of other offers in the neighborhood laboratory will follow. On June 26, a mobile citizens' office for passport and ID matters without opening an appointment, on June 30, an open discussion round for the future of Poppele-Platz and other musical events such as a concert and karaoke evening will be organized. These initiatives are part of a more comprehensive plan to strengthen social cohesion in the city, which is also supported by the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Building.
