Berlin. Human dinosaurs that move, dinosaurs on which can be climbed and bouncy castles with motifs from the period of millions of years ago: Until July 30th, visitors can experience the giants of primal period in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg.

"The bigger, the better," says about ten -year -old Fabian. Together with his mother Agnieszka, the boy from the neighborhood visited the "Jurassic Freizeit Park", which takes place on a meadow on Danziger Strasse corner Kniprodestrasse. Fabian finds the dinosaurs much more impressive in the exhibition than they look at home in books. Although he finds the dino books a bit boring, he is much more interested in the dinosaurs in (almost) life-size size. Of course he also wants to go to the bouncy castle. The exhibition will estimate him an estimated two hours, his mother estimates.

The dino exhibition makes 10,000 square meters with 70 exhibits in Pankow. The concept is designed that children can touch everything and even climb some dinosaurs, explains employee Nathalie Schmidt. The exhibition should consciously maintain and not like a museum. That seems to work: families take photos and put their heads into the great mouths of the primeval animals. The children should have the opportunity to learn something, but at the same time they can also let off steam on the dino-style bouncy castles. There is a Bimmelbahn for the very small visitors.

Divided throughout the day, an employee regularly climbs into a dino costume, runs through the exhibition and tells visitors something about the animals. Part of the exhibition is in tents, so that the pastime is also offered if it suddenly becomes gruesome.

near the exhibits are plates that provide information about the special features of the dinosaurs. If you don't feel like reading, you can also watch a film about the life of the giants. A tent in the back of the exhibition is a little darkened. Here a T-Rex, which is illuminated with a spot, welcomes visitors at the entrance and moves. This can look a little intimidating for younger visitors, but Schmidt calms down that nothing brutal happens here.

For families with children, visiting the "Jurassic Freizeit Park" in Berlin-Pankow is a consideration for a day in the city, even if the polyester dinosaurs cannot quite hold their digital role models from "Jurassic Park". With a regular admission price of 12 euros and a 10 euro discounted admission price (with flyer) per person, however, the company is one of the more expensive amusements.

The "Jurassic Freizeit Park" is still open until July 30, 2023. The opening times are Wednesday to Friday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The exhibition is closed on Monday and Tuesday. The Knipprodestraße/Danziger Straße stop is nearby. Further information is available on 0176/233 274 01.
