Jordan helps USA and Co.: Drone shot down

Jordan intervened on the night of Sunday and helped shoot dozens of Iranian drones near the Iraqi-Syrian border. According to media reports, the Jordanian fighter jets successfully stopped stopping the drones that Jerusalem had as possible. The Jordan government confirmed the incident and emphasized that no injuries or serious damage to buildings were recorded, although some debris had appeared in different locations.

Despite the successful intervention, Iran Jordan warned of interference in the conflict and indicated that the country could become a target itself. Jordan had previously announced to shoot drones that would violate airspace. For security reasons, Jordan had closed the airspace on Saturday evening and only reopened on Sunday morning after ten hours had passed.

The reaction of Jordan to the Iranian drones is important because it is an Arab country that opposes not only Iran, but also direct Arab neighboring countries such as Syria. The "Jerusalem Post" praised Jordan for his approach and emphasized that this clarifies the transformation from an enemy to an ally. Before the peace treaty was signed with Israel in 1995, Jordan was even a military opponent for many decades.
