nationwide measures for heat prevention

At the national level, the federal government also takes consequences and plans extensive measures to protect vulnerable groups from extreme heat. According to a report of the Bundestag, the focus is on older people, children, people who suffered people, those in need of care and people with disabilities. Talks with experts from the healthcare system are held to finalize a model heat protection plan for hospitals and care facilities. These measures follow alarming statistics that recorded a total of 8,400 heat -related deaths for summer 2018.

The action plan for heat protection prevention shows the urgency and necessity to develop effective strategies in order to ensure the health and safety of the vulnerable parts of the population in times of extreme heat.
