Expressions in Iran: Berlin calls for human rights to be preserved

The world holds your breath! On October 10, 2024, human rights activists and prominent politicians in Berlin gathered for a great conference that celebrated the "World Day against the Death penalty". Your goal? Stop the shocking wave of the executions in Iran and to condemn the bloodshed in the name of the regime. The powerful motto of the event was: "Iran: End of executions, call for accountability for atrocities".

Among the impressive speakers were top -class personalities such as Prof. Dr. Rita Süssmuth, former Bundestag president, and numerous other politicians and human rights activists who work for the oppressed. They expressed their anger and urged that the international community is finally becoming active!

an urgent appeal

With a heartbreaking video appearance, Maryam Rajavi, the brave president of the National Council of Resistance Iran (NWRI), contacted the meeting. "Why does a world tolerate the world day against the death penalty continue to tolerate the mass executions in Iran?" she asked provocatively. Rajavi honored the fallen heroes who have given their lives for freedom and human rights and demanded that the world rose. Her urgent words sounded through the room: "We have to unequivocally condemn the gray relatives of the regime!"

The mood at the conference was electrifying, accompanied by worrying numbers: According to Amnesty International, there were incredible 74% of all executions carried out in Iran in 2023! The fact that at least 264 prisoners have lost their lives since the take office of the new President Masoud Pezeshkian.

powerful resistance

Prof. Dr. Rita Süssmuth on the ongoing human rights violations in Iran. "Despite all the violence, this movement never gave up," she noticed and called on the audience to solidarity. The member of the Bundestag, Thomas Lutze, also rhetorically answered the question of why terror continued to state in the region: "If the Iranian regime would not act in the background, there would be no brutally waged war."

rajavi asked the international community to finally act and the regime that promotes bloodshed not only in Iran, but also in the Middle East. "Without the removal of this regime, there will be no peace!" she called with conviction.

exams and debates shaped the conference, while the participants tried to face the gruesome reality of the Iranian regime. The former UN Special Serial Castor Prof. Javaid Rehman had previously described the regime's brutality as "crimes against humanity" and "genocide". These are serious allegations that have the weight of international responsibility!

In front of an enthusiastic audience, the support for the demonstration "No to the execution" became clear: Over 1,500 outstanding personalities from 78 countries have already raised their voice. This broad support of the resistance is a sign that the world can no longer watch!
