Prime Minister Dietmar Woidke describes the project as a win-win-win situation for the HPI, the University of Potsdam and the state of Brandenburg. The university itself could benefit financially by selling its buildings on the Griebnitzsee campus, which would enable additional funds for development.

Promotion of artificial intelligence in university formation

In the context of training at the new university location, the promotion of artificial intelligence (AI) will also be important. Since the end of 2021, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has supported the use of AI in university formation.
