The German Weather Service (DWD) warns the residents of Berlin and Brandenburg of upcoming thunderstorms. The storm should reach the region from the early evening.

According to the DWD, people in Berlin and Brandenburg have to adjust to thunderstorms with heavy rain and gusts of wind from early Saturday evening. At the beginning it stays cheerful and dry along the Oder and only. In the further course of the day, the first storm cells then move over Brandenburg from the west.

It is expected locally with showers, in the afternoon also in Berlin. In the early evening the storm front finally reached the Oder. Thunderstorms can be expected that are occasionally heavy rain, hail in a small -format size and stormy gusts with speeds of up to 70 kilometers per hour. The temperatures range between 26 and 30 degrees. According to the models of the DWD, about 15 liters of rain per square meter can be expected, and up to 25 liters can also be possible.

The night of Sunday will be changing to strongly, according to the DWD. Shower -like rain will fall and occasionally thunderstorms can occur with heavy rain. The thunderstorms then take off during the night and larger loosening occurs. The temperatures drop to 18 to 15 degrees.
