On the anti -war day, the aid organization Islamic Relief Germany launched the “Food for Orphan” campaign. This remarkable initiative took place in Berlin in front of the historic Brandenburg Gate, where a 50 -meter -long, symbolically laid table was built up. This visual sign should draw attention to the precarious situation of millions of children in conflict areas and show solidarity with them.

The campaign is not only an important event, but also a call to help and support forgotten children in war regions. According to statistics, more than 468 million children worldwide live in areas affected by conflicts, which are faced with fear and uncertainty every day. These children are often extremely traumatized and do not know what the future has ready for them. The loss of family members and the constant threat of violence and hunger make their childhood a struggle for survival.

a sign of solidarity

The active participation of many people in the event reaffirmed the commitment to the weakest members of society - the orphans. Nora Shamroukh, the campaign coordinator of "dishes for orphans", reported on her personal experiences with Syrian children who suffer greatly from the consequences of the war. "These children have lost their childhood and face an uncertain future," she said. It is not only the loss of family support, but also the absence of basic care such as education and health services that make it extremely difficult for these children to build up a stable future.

The “Food for Orphan” initiative calls on people across Germany to organize a joint meal to collect donations for orphans in crisis areas. These funds are urgently needed to secure children's survival in countries such as Syria, Yemen, Gaza and Sudan. In these regions, millions of children suffered from the devastating consequences of war and destruction.

Islamic Relief Germany has successfully implemented numerous aid projects in the past 25 years and currently supports around 14,000 children in 25 different countries. The organization is tirelessly committed to improving the life of children who suffer from extreme conditions and giving them access to basic services.

help together and eat

The ongoing campaign "Food for Orphan" is an invitation to everyone - regardless of religion or origin - to participate in a meal together and collect donations. There are no strict guidelines for the food, so that everyone can take part in their possibilities and resources. Participation should not only promote the good cause, but also strengthen community feeling and understanding between people.

The campaign lasts from September 1st to October 15, 2024, and the organizers encourage everyone interested to report and receive information about participation. Detailed information and materials are available on the website www.seteisen-fuer-waisen.de. Here you can also find inquiries about events that invite the supporting reporting.

In a world in which conflicts continue to have devastating effects on the weakest, support is crucial for initiatives such as "dishes for orphans" to make a difference in the life of many children in need.
