Dangerous symbol policy: border controls without effectiveness in Solingen
The recent announcements by SPD Interior Minister Nancy Faeser are all about symbol policy and raise more questions than answers. With the storm on the opinions of the voters, she tries to win the migration -critical race with the Union and AfD. Now, after a brilliant outcry, most Germans are shocked by the planned controls at our borders!
On the first day of the implementation of the well -known "smart border controls", the impression flashes that a fleeting spectacle is rather celebrated here. Instead of comprehensive controls, only sporadically poached at selected transitions. Is that really the big throw that people need so urgently? Is a fleeting security gain really the result of drastic announcements? The answer seems to be a clear "no"!
an impending farce for Germany
The standardization of border controls is on the brink, and not without reason. Already when the controls were introduced, it was clear that the federal police did not have the capacity in order to carry out the promised border controls across the board. The nationality or the background of a potential attacker will certainly not be uncovered by poradic stalling individual cars. Instead, the next terrorist could simply choose one of the many uncontrolled transitions via meadows and forests and come up with freely in Germany.
What kind of security is promised here? An empty promise! The traffic light coalition only seemed to have eyes for the approaching elections instead of developing a well-founded strategy to combat crime and to ensure security. Instead of contradicting the existing rights, they fuel the narrative even further with half -hearted measures.
politics with the handbrake attracted
The situation is exploited by the AfD in a savory way, which is effortlessly staged as a representative of true border policy. "We'll do it better!" is thrown into the room as a powerful answer. With a finger -moving accusation to the government that they do not really close the borders, the right opposition party is absorbed. And the voters? They look intently while the traffic lights in the proverbial dirt and with a flimsy solution they jeopardize their credibility.
The German voters are looking for concrete solutions and efficient security. But instead of drastic measures, they only see the fleeting shadows of symbolic policy. A race for voices that may ultimately harm the stability and security of this nation - what a terrifying reality!
