Gaza strips: Humanitarian catastrophe requires immediate help
In the Gaza Strip, the situation is becoming increasingly devastating! Every day, more than 2 million people fight for survival - in a region that has long since become hell on earth. The residents face unimaginable hunger and need, while the supply of relief goods is reduced to a minimum. Here the chaos has become a sad normality!
The numbers are shocking: 91 percent of the population experiences a severe nutritional crisis. These are not only numbers on a sheet of paper, but the painful life of mothers, fathers and children who fight bitter fights for survival. "Our experienced colleagues have never experienced such massive destruction and despair in a crisis area," reports Mathias Mogge, CEO of Welthungerhilfe. His voice testifies to the overwhelming sadness that meets the helpers every day.
apocalyptic conditions!
The living conditions are catastrophic! People live closely between weeks of bombing and bombed houses. Under the constant noise of the drones and the shattering air strikes, you desperately search for a place to live. Families crowd into humanitarian zones, in which many see no way out. "There are apocalyptic conditions," reports a shaken helper. The struggle for survival is dramatic: people struggle for every piece of bread!
International Welthungerhilfe is on site and fights against time. Together with European partners and the Juzoor National Organization, they help more than 50,000 people in the worst affected areas. But the work is made difficult by bureaucracy and delays, while the urgently needed help often does not arrive in time. "We urgently need more access routes," says Mogge with emphasis.
The humanitarian principles are their top priority: neutrality, humanity and independence are not only words, but the basis of their work. Welthungerhilfe ske for the brutal attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023 and demands the immediate release of all hostages. It is time for immediate ceasefire and the protection of the civilian population!
help urgently needed!
The situation in the Gaza Strip is unsustainable! Children, pregnant women and old people stand on the edge of the abyss of malnutrition. The cry for help is clear: "Hissing emergency in Gaza!". Welthungerhilfe urges donations to secure the survival of people in the Gaza Strip. Every cent counts!
