Summer Challenge in Berlin: collect and win stamps!
District Mayor Clara Herrmann informs about the interactive offer of the city library for children between eight and twelve years. The challenge is to collect as many stamps as possible in a booklet by borrowing books, audio books and films and solving suitable tasks. The campaign runs from July 1 to September 13, 2024 in various library locations in Berlin.
The opening party with reading will take place on Monday, July 1st, from 4.30 p.m. at the Wilhelm Liebknecht / Namik Kemal. Author Frauke Angel will read from her book "A room for me alone". There are also weekly club meetings in which the participants can exchange ideas and earn extra stamps. The summer challenge will end on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the district central library Pablo Neruda with a final party and the honor of the winners.
The campaign is intended to motivate children to go to the library during the summer vacation to promote their reading skills and have fun reading. Participation is free of charge and should help increase reading skills and interest in books in children.
