New projects for security and culture in Görlitzer Park started
Development is progressing in the heart of Berlin! In an exciting session, the steering committee has now released new funds for exciting projects in the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district. At the moment, these initiatives are in the spotlight to improve the quality of life in public spaces and to act in a creative way against social problems.
District Mayor Clara Herrmann said in a rousing speech: "Our goal is to bring the Görlitzer Park and its surroundings to life with sporting and cultural offers!". Great changes are planned that will promote both security and cleanliness in the region. With a clear focus on the concerns of the local people, a nationwide strategy against drug addiction and a comprehensive auxiliary system for those affected are sought. But not only that - also the fight against organized crime is to be supported by the police!
diverse projects for everyone!
An exciting climbing offer is to be built in Görlitzer Park. For this purpose, a boulder area and a rope -supported climbing wall are set up by the renowned German Alpine Club - a project that is supported with proud 185,000 euros ! This is just the beginning, because new sports equipment worth 20,000 euros are also purchased for every age range. The goal is clear: create seasonal and open sports rooms in which everyone is welcome and positive encounters are encouraged.
But that's not all! The cultural project around the Brazilian forró tradition brings zest for life to Görlitzer Park with a lot of momentum. The "Forró festivals" offer the neighborhood and musicians a place to celebrate and make music. For this purpose, 5,000 euros are provided, which makes this initiative a further highlight in the cultural landscape of the park.
The projects aim to bring about a positive change in the cityscape and offer numerous opportunities for encounter and interaction. The people in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg can look forward to a living and safe neighborhood!
