An exciting step for the security and well -being of the students! On Monday, November 18, a temporary school road was set up in Schleiermacherstrasse in front of the Leibniz Gymnasium in Kreuzberg. This innovative measure is secured daily between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. by barriers to offer more space to the over 800 students during their breaks. The school yard and the sports field, which was blocked by construction work, cannot provide these urgently needed capacity.
The teachers of the high school are responsible for monitoring the blocking, which begins with the first big break and ends with the end. During this time, there is an absolute stopping ban for vehicles that have to be removed before the start of the blocking period. Outside of these times, as well as on weekends and public holidays, driving and parking remains allowed.
