The Berlin strategy against child and family poverty aims to create equal opportunities for all children and adolescents. Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg will receive additional funds of 1.2 million euros this year to support projects for the prevention of child poverty in the district.

A concrete project that is promoted is located in the Tempelhofer suburb of the South of Kreuzberg. It becomes clear that child and family poverty in different parts of the district is widespread.
