Information event for the modernization of the urban port on July 3, 2024
A planning for the renewal of the riverside paths and open spaces at the Urbanhafen in Berlin was presented in April 2024. In May an online participation took place on my.berlin.de, accompanied by on-site discussions with the community work Urbanhafen. The goal was to obtain a mood for concrete planning in order to further develop it. The results of the participation will be presented and discussed on July 3 in an information and dialogue event in the neighborhood house Urbanstrasse.
The participation of the citizens in urban development projects plays an important role in taking into account the needs and wishes of the residents. With direct on-site calls and online participation platforms, different interest groups can bring in their opinions and ideas.
The district councilor Florian Schmidt emphasized the importance of participation of the citizens in the planning. The combination of on-site and online participation enables all users of the open spaces and bank paths to make their voice to be heard.
The event on July 3 offers the participants the opportunity to contribute additional information on the planning and to discuss with the planning at various thematic tables. This participative approach promotes transparency and democracy in urban development processes.
