Invitation to rapid flag of the Mayors for Peace

The flag rating of the Mayors for Peace on July 8, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in front of the Marzahn-Hellersdorf town hall in Berlin is a clear message against wars and for a peaceful world without nuclear weapons. In a time of increasing global conflicts and environmental disasters, it is more important than ever to work together for peace.

District Mayor Nadja Zivkovic cordially invites all citizens to take part in this symbolic event. By hoisting the flag of the Mayors for Peace is a strong sign of disarmament and peace that extends beyond national borders.

It is alarming that despite a decline in the total number of nuclear warheads, the number of explosive heads are still high worldwide. The modernization of nuclear weapons arsenale in different countries has a serious threat to global security. The flag ranging should be made aware of this problem and advertised for sustainable disarmament.
