Folsom Europe 2024: Kinky variety and new trends in the rainbow bike!

from September 11th to 15th Berlin becomes again the hotspot for fetish lovers. Folsom Europe, the largest event of this kind in Europe, promises a colorful variety of activities and encounters in the rainbow bike. Here people come together to share their special interests and hobbies in an open frame - and not just behind closed doors.

"The Sexiest Social" is the motto of this year's 21st edition. Denis Watson, new to the board of Folsom Europe, explains the intention behind the slogan: "It is not about excessive sexual activities on the street, but about community and visibility." This event sees itself as a place of social interaction where you can live out fetishes without constantly being on the sexual act.

highlights of the event

One of the central attractions of Folsom Europe is the street festival, which takes place on September 14 from 12 p.m. in Fuggerstrasse/corner of Welserstrasse in Schöneberg. Denis is looking forward to the fact that "at the street festival the corks pop down and to be happy many people can swing the whip". In addition to the street festival, there will also be a boat party and sightseeing buses that lead participants through the city in a fetish-conscious frame.

This year the program was expanded to include an "Animal Farm", which was created especially for Furries and the growing Puppy community. "We also want to offer a platform for this group, which does not always be heard," explains Denis and highlights the importance of this expansion.

Puppies are people who dress up in role -playing games as dogs or other types, while Furries often represent anthropomorphic animal characters. This subculture offers a playful and less serious perspective on the fetish topic and is particularly inviting for newcomers.

a clear structure and serious intentions

Denis, however, emphasizes that despite the freedom of movement, there are clear rules in order to avoid inappropriate behaviors. "Sex and complete nudity are not allowed in public space," he makes it unequivocally clear. The use of certain props such as whips in public space is also not permitted. "There are clubs for this. It is important that we treat each other respectfully to avoid misunderstandings in the neighborhood," he adds with a smile.

The fetish can have different meanings for different people. "The media tend to report on sexuals, but that's only part of the whole," explains Denis. For many, the living of a fetish has less to do with sex, but rather with the research and acceptance of their true personality, which often remains hidden under social norms in everyday life.

With these thoughts in mind, Denis gives the participants the advice: "Have fun, respect the limits of others and think about packing enough sunscreen for the street festival if it gets as hot as last year."

Folsom Europe not only offers a platform for fetishists, but also promotes understanding of the different facets of community and identity. All information about the event and the street party can be found at www.siegessaule.de .
