EVG starts collective bargaining: 7.6% wage increase for N-railways required
Now it gets serious in freight traffic! The railway and transport union (EVG) starts an exciting tariff round at the N-Bahne! In the middle of growing requirements, the EVG demands a whopping wage increase of 7.6 percent for its members. And that's not all! An additional money, which is called EVG train, is to be introduced-with the possibility for shift workers and those who take care of relatives to convert parts of their wage increase into valuable free time. That sounds like a real progress!
"Create freedom for employees with special stress," emphasizes the combative co-negotiator Cosima Ingenschay. The EVG remains stubborn: it also demands more freedom in working hours so that the employees can decide whether they want to work full -time if they are adapted 35 or 40 hours a week. And for the members there is an exclusive one -off payment on top!
big negotiations are imminent
A total of 14 out of 21 companies chose the EVG to negotiate together. But the Transdev Group withdraws and does not want to sit at the table. "We prevent a patchwork of patchwork," Inschay assures combative. Uniform regulations are the goal! Where the EVG is negotiating, the EVG is also represented. The fight for fair contracts has started!
The negotiations are directed by the leaders Kristian Loroch and Cosima Ingenschay. Which company is expected? Especially with Abellio Mitteldeutschland GmbH, AKN Eisenbahn GmbH, and all the rest - the list is long! In the meantime, the transdev group is treated separately, which can exert additional pressure on the negotiations.
The pressure increases!
The pressure is high and the watch ticks! The EVG is determined to fight for its members a fair and uniform tariff. The tension increases and the next round of the tariff talks promises to become heated. The workers are ready and their voice is heard!
The EVG remains strong and it remains to be seen how employers will react. But one thing is clear: this tariff round will be an important chapter in the history of the N-Bahn! The coming weeks will show whether the EVG can emphasize its claims. Stay on it!
