Energy transition under pressure: TÜV study reveals entrepreneurial opinions

The challenges of the energy transition: A look at the German economy

In the middle of an economic downturn and increasing energy prices, the German economy faces major challenges. All the more important is the central project of the energy transition, which aims to combat the climate crisis and to make energy supply more sustainable. A new focus on the perceptions and experiences of the companies could give crucial insights into the statement of the implementation of the energy transition.

The "TÜV Sustainability Study 2024", which was carried out in cooperation with Forsa, is a comprehensive survey of 500 representative companies. The results of this study will be presented on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. in an online press conference. Dr. Michael Fübi, the President of the TÜV Association and CEO of TÜV Rheinland AG, present the main concerns and knowledge.

The results of the study could draw a clearer picture of how companies in Germany perceive the energy transition from their perspective. Questions to support the energy transition, the concerns of the companies and the measures initiated are in the foreground of the discussion. The identified hurdles, which are often related to bureaucratic requirements and an uncertain economic situation, are also important

Part of the investigation also deals with the demands of companies to politics in order to accelerate the process of the energy transition. It is of central importance to understand what support the companies need to successfully implement the energy transition. The current study will therefore be of great interest not only for companies themselves, but also for political decision -makers.

Participation in the online press conference is via Microsoft Teams, with the possibility of dialing in by telephone to ensure a comprehensive discussion. Journalists from the TV and radio area are invited to report to the recording of O-tones in order to spread the insight they gained.

This study will give a decisive impetus to clearly define the challenges and opportunities of the energy transition and thus create the framework conditions for a sustainable future.
