A year after the Hamas attack: the creeping anti-Semitism in Germany
An unprecedented robbery shaked the world! On October 7, 2023, the radical Hamas unleashed its brutality and hit Israel in the early morning with a shocking attack. The pictures from this murderous night are engraved into the heads of the people, and the horror creses - from cruel murders to kidnapping - are also incredible a year later. The nightmare continues: more than 100 Israelis are still in the hands of their tormentors. Your fate remains uncertain. Alive or dead? This day marks a deep cut in the history of Israel.
But the development doesn't just stop in Israel! The conflict escalates while Israel fights on many fronts. The determination of defending itself against existential threats leads to a terrible price: the number of innocent civilians in the West Bank, in the Gaza Strip and in Lebanon rises rapidly. Where is the way out of this bloody chaos? Policy? None! Instead, ominous clouds hang over the region - the answer to a possible attack from Iran remains waiting and is reminiscent of an inevitable tragedy.
The worrying Situation in Germany
we focus on Germany - a year after the devastating attack, the shock seems to be faded in this country. There is hardly any compassion with the victims. Instead, the outrage over the Israeli government becomes loud, while hatred of Jews and everything Jewish grows to a frightening extent. Often hidden behind a pretext of criticism of Netanyahu, this wave of hatred shows itself as unbearable.
The number of anti -Semitic incidents has been exploded since October 7, 2023! Jews in Germany live in constant fear. Many no longer dare to go to the street with a Kippa. Parents forbid their children to speak Hebrew so as not to attract attention. Stumbling blocks are no longer respected; Wurf floors are unloaded on synagogues. Even Jewish artists are under pressure and are excluded from events. Individual cases? Not up! This is a worrying social phenomenon.
a historical responsibility
What does that mean for Germany? With the Holocaust, the country has invited an outstanding guilt - a guilt that should never be forgotten! Anyone who lives or wants to live here must be aware of this responsibility. This responsibility is much more than a shadow play in history. It is an integral part of the self -image of a democratic post -war Germany, from which no way can be found.
If you want to gain a foothold in Germany, you have to face this inheritance - even if it is challenging! Hate in our society is not acceptable. Germany is different from France or the Netherlands. We have to stand together and show that this type of prejudices and anti -Semitism cannot be part of our country. Everyone has the obligation to fight for a tolerant future!
