The royal porcelain manufacturer Berlin: tradition and innovation in the capital.

The royal porcelain manufactory (KPM) was founded in 1763 by Friedrich II and is known for its fine porcelain. The best customer of the KPM was Prussia's king, who ordered 21 service with up to 500 parts each. Today the KPM sales rooms are located on Charlottenburger Wegelystraße. The KPM marketing director Jenja Carov emphasizes that the production of the porcelain in the 21st century is just as complex as at the time of Frederick the Great. A total of 25 people work for 14 days for a coffee cup. The porcelain is made in 29 steps and read ten times by hand. The KPM does not simply see itself as a shop, but as a brand experience facility. In the historical buildings, visitors can admire the fine porcelain like in a modern museum. The Princess group of Schadow, a KPM classic, consists of almost 90 individual parts that are composed at 1400 degrees before the fire. If only a part is incorrect, the entire piece is sorted out. The KPM always deals with the trends of the time to remain future -proof. An example of this are the 60,000 coffee-to-go cups made of the finest KPM porcelain, which are designed in the style of the Kurland series.

How the KPM wants to make fit for the future, explains marketing manager Jenja Carow in an interview with the Berlin Kurier. The KPM listens to its customers and deals with the great trends of the time to find out what attitude it should take. In addition, the KPM is thinking about what it could look like in 50, 100 or 200 years. Carov emphasizes that the KPM from tradition is innovative and open to the zeitgeist.

Die Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur ist ein bedeutendes kulturelles Erbe in Berlin und hat einen starken Einfluss auf den lokalen Handel und das Handwerk. The company employs 220 people and ensures jobs in the region. The KPM marketing manager also emphasizes that they attach great importance to producing high-quality porcelain products that are environmentally friendly and contribute to environmental protection, such as coffee-to-go cups. The KPM thus contributes to sustainability in Berlin and promotes the conscious consumption of high -quality products.
