German Mobility Prize 2024: Jury is certain
The selection of the jury for the German Mobility Prize (DMP) 2024 has been determined. This year the award of the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport (BMDV) will be awarded by a team of experts from various areas, including administration, business, science and civil society. The jury is also supported by a former award winner of the German Mobility Prize.
The parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Minister of Digital and Transport and FDP MP, Daniela Kluckert, will again take over the chair of the jury. She is particularly pleased that the perspective of the citizens is directly involved in the jury. The goal is to identify the most innovative digital mobility solutions that have the potential to noticeably improve people's everyday life and make our cities more livable.
The following experts will be part of the jury:
- Prof. Dr. Angela Francke: Professor of bicycle traffic and homobility at the University of Kassel
- Dr. Daniela Gerd Tom Markotten: Anti -Digitization and Technology of Deutsche Bahn AG
- Prof. Dr. Meike Jipp: Divisions for Energy and Transport of the German Aerospace Center (DLR), co-director of the expert advisory board "Climate protection in mobility" of the BMDV
- Dr. Bernhard Kalkbrenner: Head of the Digital Hub Mobility of Entrepreneurship
- Anna-Theresa Korbutt: Managing Director of the Hamburg Transport Association (HVV)
- Christina Lang: Mit-founder and managing director of Digitalservice GmbH of the federal
- Christiane Möller: Legal officer and deputy managing director of the German Blind and Visually Impaired Association (DBSV)
- Dr. Olga Nevska: Managing Director of Telekom Mobilitysolutions
- Dr. Bernhard Rohleder: CEO of BITKOM e.V.
In addition to the experts, there is also a place in the jury for a citizen. All interested people can apply, be it as experts from the digital and mobility industry or committed citizens with experiences in everyday problems. The application period ends on August 18, 2024.
The award winners of the German Mobility Prize are determined in several selection levels. First, 36 projects for the longlist are selected. The jury then evaluates these projects based on the criteria of the competition and selects twelve projects for the shortlist. The award winners are determined in a non -public jury meeting and ceremoniously announced during the award ceremony.
In addition to the prices in different categories, an audience award is also awarded. The selection for this is based on the projects nominated for the shortlist. The audience award is determined by a live voting during the award ceremony. The results will be announced during the event.
