German Floristics Championship 2024: Peace message with flowers
On August 16 and 17, 2024, the German Floristry Championship will take place in Bikini Berlin. Nine florists from all over Germany compete against each other in various disciplines and fight for the title of the German champion. This year's motto of the event is "peace". In view of the current political world situation, the participants want to send a message of love, harmony and hope through the language of the flowers.
The candidates have previously qualified for the German championship. You have to present a total of four floral designs: a bound workpiece on the subject of "reconciliation prayer from Coventry", a bar or table decoration that interprets a "multicultural come-together", a room object to match the event location "Bikini Berlin" as a symbol of reconstruction and hope, as well as a floral column. In addition, you have to create a surprise work with the material provided within 120 minutes. When evaluating the contributions, the jury pays attention to the criteria of the idea, color, composition and technology. A technical commission monitors compliance with the rules, such as observing the time specifications and the use of permitted aids.
