A real joy for the eyes and the soul-two delegations from our beloved partner cities of Jurkarkas and Maputo-Kamubukwana are currently adorned with the streets and squares of the lively district of Lichtenberg. Led by the respected representatives from politics, administration and civil society, they have set off to celebrate the narrow gang of our city twinning.

Because right now it is of crucial importance not only to speak to each other, but also to learn from each other and to grow together.

From the long night of the pictures to the Orankeseen Festival to the family racing day on the Karlshorst trotting racing track - the delegations experience the living soul of the district up close. In addition to cultural highlights, discussions and meetings on important topics such as health, education and environmental protection are also on the program. The on -site encounters with representatives from various areas create space for inspiring exchange and constructive cooperation.
a partnership full of potential
The partnership with Maputo already looks back at an impressive 30 years, while the connection with Jurkarkas celebrated a proud 20 years last year. The future looks promising because the partnership agreement with Jurkarkas has already been extended, and Maputo will soon follow. Together it was decided to implement even more joint projects in the coming years that are close to the heart of the two partners. The friendship between Lichtenberg, Jurkarkas and Maputo becomes a source of inspiration and positive change.
