New Berlin-Müsli: Sustainability for breakfast
The Bildungs for Sustainable Development (SBNE) of the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district office launched the “Sustainable Berlin-Müsli” project in good time for the 2024 Football European Championship. The official start of sales of the muesli is June 14, 2024, in line with the start of the European Championship. The "Dit is Muesli" project is intended to show action opportunities for sustainable consumption and production. In addition to workshops with schools on healthy eating and sustainability, the muesli serves as an example of how sustainability can be implemented economically, socially and environmentally.
The Berlin-Müsli, which emphasizes aspects such as regionality, biological cultivation and healthy eating, stands for a healthy diet and sustainable lifestyle. It supports the implementation of the 17 sustainability goals of the UN at the local level. The project was initiated by the SBNE and the design for the muesli was selected by a public tender procedure. The jury's packaging design "Dit is Muesli" by the Cologne agency IBG was selected by the jury. The bio-müsli is produced and expelled by the Berlin company Dattelmann.
Current sales locations for the Berlin-Müsli include a pop-up store in Bikini Berlin, the world shop A Janela, Bauhaus Reuse on Ernst-Reuter-Platz and the Duty Free Shops in Berlin-Brandenburg Airport. The "Sustainable Berlin-Müsli" project is seen as a contribution to the implementation of the Berlin nutritional strategy and is intended to promote healthy eating and sustainable lifestyle.
The contact person for the project is Lidia Perico from the SBNE in the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district office, available at Sbne@charlottenburg-wilmersdorf.de or by phone (030) 9029-12014.
