New pedestrian crossing built on Wintersteinstrasse

New pedestrian crossing built on Wintersteinstrasse

on Wintersteinstrasse, at the level of the Charlottenburg bank, a new pedestrian crossing will be created in the near future. For this, it is necessary to build a central island on Wintersteinstrasse, as well as to build sideways on both sides of the Charlottenburg shore. The construction measures are carried out in a total of three sections, starting on February 29, 2024 and ending on May 3, 2024.

During the first phase of construction, Wintersteinstrasse becomes a one-way street from the Caprivibrücke in the direction of Otto-Suhr-Allee. From the Otto-Suhr-Alle to Brauhofstraße, Wintersteinstraße is accessible in both directions. A detour takes place via Luisenplatz and Mierendorffstraße. In the following two construction phases, Wintersteinstrasse will be open again in both directions, but there will be restrictions in the area of the construction site.

The construction work has been planned and arranged in consultation with the road traffic authority and the Senate Department for Mobility, Transport, Climate Protection and the Environment Department. The Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district office is committed to doing the work together with the executive construction company quickly and efficiently.

to better illustrate the planned construction work and the resulting traffic restrictions, here an overview table with the most important data:
