Carrot magazine: Global sustainability goals in focus

In Berlin wird auch im kommenden Schuljahr das beliebte Hausaufgabenheft mit Kiki Karotte, auch bekannt als Möhrchenheft, wieder erhältlich sein. Die Stabsstelle Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung (SBNE) des Bezirksamts Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf hat gemeinsam mit den Möhrchenheftmacher:innen das Thema Nachhaltigkeitsziele in den Fokus genommen. Erstmals werden alle 17 Globalen Nachhaltigkeitsziele (SDG) der AGENDA 2030 ein fester Bestandteil der Hausaufgabenhefte sein. Dies ermöglicht den Schüler:innen, individuelle und lokale Nachhaltigkeitsaspekte in einen globalen Kontext zu setzen und somit ein besseres Verständnis für die globalen Zusammenhänge zu entwickeln. The Education for Sustainable Development (SBNE) of the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf District Office, together with the Möhrchenheftmacher: focused on the topic of sustainability goals. In Berlin, the popular homework book with Kiki Korotte, also known as the carrot magazine, will be available again in the coming school year. The Education for Sustainable Development (SBNE) of the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf District Office, together with the Möhrchenheftmacher: focused on the topic of sustainability goals. For the first time, all 17 global sustainability goals (SDG) of the 2030 Agenda will be an integral part of homework issues. This enables the pupil to put individual and local sustainability aspects into a global context and thus to develop a better understanding of the global relationships.

The motto "Think globally, act locally" are encouraged to play in a playful way to recognize the relevance of their own behavior and to integrate sustainable behaviors into everyday life. The booklets have already been appointed by interested schools in all districts (except Steglitz-Zehlendorf) and are distributed free of charge to the school classes of the 3rd or 4th grade at the beginning of the new school year.

The SBNE project is carried out by the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district office and funded by the Senate Department for Mobility, Transport, Climate Protection and the Environment.

This project helps to strengthen awareness of the sustainability goals and to sensitize the next generations to a sustainable future.
