Digital-Café: Free help for smartphones and tablet users
The focus of the digital café is questions about the use of technology in everyday life. Topics such as reading e-books on tablets, the retrieval of emails to smartphones and the use of digital services from Berlin's citizens' offices are dealt with. The digital café is aimed at everyone interested and offers the opportunity to exchange ideas and support each other.
The next dates for the digital café are as follows:
- Wednesday, July 10, 2024, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Wednesday, August 7, 2024, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Saturday, August 14, 2024, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Participation in the events is free of charge. The meetings take place in the Heinrich Schulz Library, Otto-Suhr-Allee 98.
The digital café offers a great opportunity to exchange ideas with other users and learn from their experiences. Especially at a time when digitization is progressing, it is important to be able to clarify technical questions and to have a room for exchange.
In Berlin there are a variety of digital cafes and senior networks that make similar offers and help older people not to lose connection to digitization. These offers are particularly important for seniors because they are often less technology affin and need support to find their way around the digital world.
The following table shows some impressions of the offers of the digital café and other similar initiatives in Berlin:
