Berlin celebrates the queer life with Christopher Street Day (CSD), a colorful and loud event that moves hundreds of thousands of people into the city. This year's CSD, which is already the 45th of its kind, was under the motto "Be your voice - and our!" And set an example of empathy and solidarity. The route stretched over 7.4 kilometers from Leipziger Strasse to the Brandenburg Gate and offered impressive pictures.

One of the highlights of the CSD was the presence of the group "Sisters of the Perpetual Indulgence", which made activist selfies and made for many laughs. The colorful and creative outfits of the participants were a real must and provided numerous photo opportunities. A special highlight was the appearance of a man disguised as a lion, who caused confusion and turned out to be a circus boss from Teltow, who spoke of confusion.

The CSD in Berlin also offered a platform to point out important social issues. For example, the Ukrainian colors were also represented on the CSD to remember that the war is not over and queer people are still exposed to discrimination, threat and persecution worldwide. The CSD in Berlin gives these people a voice and is committed to their rights.

The CSD was also a peaceful celebration in which people danced and celebrated from all over the world. Politicians such as President of the Bundestag Bärbel BAS and Culture Senator Joe Chialo also took part in the event and supported the lesbian, gays, bisexuals, trans, intersex and queere (LGBTIQ) Community.

The final event took place at the Brandenburg Gate, where the queer self -determination was celebrated. There the band Ton also appeared stone broken glass and created the mood. Another moving moment of the CSD was the wreath laying on the monument for the homosexuals murdered in National Socialism in the zoo.

The CSD in Berlin is not only a colorful festival, but also an important event that indicates that an open and tolerant society is necessary in which diversity and equality can be realized. It is an event in which queer people can get a voice and fight for their rights. The CSD in Berlin is a symbol of empathy, solidarity and the desire for a tolerant society, in which love is accepted in all its forms.
