Nationwide strikes in money and value transport: ver.di demands fair wages!

Attention, Germany! On Thursday, October 17th, and Friday, October 18, it will be hot for money and value! The United Service Union (ver.di) calls up the employees in all federal states for a full -day strike. This huge sign of the resistance follows completely inadequate wage offers in the collective bargaining for around 10,000 employees!

The situation escalates: In the second round of negotiations on September 20 of this year, the Federal Association of German Earnings and Value Services (BDGW) had disappointed the employees with a mixed offer. Even after the protesting strikes on September 30th and on the following days, no better offer was presented! The barrel runs over, and the strikers now show with all the might that it cannot go on like this!

blatant claims for more appreciation

"What the employers offer is simply not acceptable," was the striking outcry by ver.di negotiator Sonja Austermühle. "The employees make it clear what they think of this disrespect. So appreciation does not work!" On October 17th and 18th, in the crucial negotiations, the strikers themselves will be on site to emphasize their demands.

The persistent claims are anything but low: the union requires the usual Federal Mantelic Agency Treaty that all overtime worked is additional. In addition, a nationwide holiday allowance and Christmas bonus of half a gross monthly salary should be introduced! This is a clear message: the employees earn more!

strike with a clear perspective

As far as the salaries are concerned, the strikers go one step further! In the mobile area, ver.di wants to raise wages in NRW and Lower Saxony to a whopping 23 euros per hour - and even in the other federal states, the demands are ambitious. In the inpatient area, the payroll in North Rhine -Westphalia, Lower Saxony and other countries even climbs to 19.50 euros per hour! Here the personal appreciation is converted into bare coin.

The next round of negotiation is scheduled: It will take place on October 17th and 18th in the Hotel NH Munich Messe from 11 a.m. The striking workers will be on site from 10 a.m. in order to say the unmistakable demand for more wages and appreciation directly on the face!

Don't forget: If you have any questions, you can contact Sonja Austermühle directly at 0151/26737712 or keep an eye on the press releases of the ver.di state districts for the actions on site! It remains exciting! Germany looks!
