Bravura plans innovative lithium processing in Germany until 2027
In a groundbreaking step for the lithium industry, Bravura, the African giant raw materials, has announced plans for the construction of a large -scale area for lithium processing! This huge step will not only influence the future of automotive production in Germany, but could also revolutionize European raw materials. What is really behind this project?
Bravura, a sister company of the well-known African oil and gas producer Aiteo, plans to put the innovative lithium processing plant into operation in 2027. But the way there is peppered with challenges. The final location is to be determined by the beginning of 2025, while the preparations are currently in full swing!
The importance of lithium hydroxide
Why is lithium hydroxide so decisive? This golden mineral is the key factor for the production of batteries for electric vehicles. Did you know that around 25,000 electric vehicle batteries can be produced with only 1,000 tons of lithium hydroxide? The demand from automobile manufacturers and suppliers is huge! Unfortunately, the current reality looks so that 95% of lithium hydroxide in Germany is imported from China. A real dilemma that Bravura wants to start!
Brand -up is the EU's demand that at least 40% of lithium processing must take place within the Union by 2030. Bravura's project could enable exactly this and thus support the ambitious goals of European legislation! They want to finally end the dependence on Chinese raw materials.
unique African-German supply chain
The special thing about Bravura's approach: the raw materials for lithium processing come directly from African occurrence that the company itself controls. The lithium-containing Spodumen concentrate is transported to Germany with its own state-of-the-art mass freight. This direct supply chain enables Bravura to be the first company to deliver lithium hydroxide to the automotive industry without a third party. A true game chat!
At the BDI ROW Material Congress on November 11, 2024 in Berlin, we can learn more about this visionary project, which could significantly influence the raw material supply in Germany. High -ranking representatives from politics and industry will come together to discuss the future of our resources. An event that should never be missed!
A look at the Bravura Group shows the potential of this company: As a leading international mining and investment conglomerate, Bravura has significant subsidiaries in several African countries and focuses on strategic minerals. This trip to the German lithium business could not only play a key role for Bravura, but for the entire industry!
The course for the future of battery -electric mobility in Germany is set - and Bravura is ready to accept the challenge!
