In the afternoon in Rummelsburg, there was a dangerous incident when a 35-year-old ignited several fireworks. Witnesses alerted the police around 4:40 p.m. after an explosive object detonated right next to a parked car, which led to a pop trauma in a passerby. When the emergency services arrived, the man tried to flee, but could be stopped on the Scandinavian street.
When he was arrested, the suspect resisted and injured a police officer on the shoulder, who then had to be treated on an outpatient basis. The man was initially taken to the psychiatric department of a hospital, but was rejected there. He was released after a detectional treatment. The police are now investigating due to negligent bodily harm, property damage, violating the explosive law and resistance to the enforcement officers.
