Berlin-Pankow to Zugspitze: Students drive 1,000 km by bike

journey of discovery by bike through Germany

An unusual sight was offered to the residents of the Weilheim district when 18 pupils from the Heinz-Brandt School in Berlin-Pankow cycled through their community. The young adventurers were on the way from Berlin to the Zugspitze, a distance of almost 1,000 kilometers. Her goal was to explore Germany's breathtaking mountain landscape on the bike.

The students had carefully planned their trip in advance. Due to the long route, they were dependent on free accommodation options. Therefore, they had contacted the Weilheim-Schongau district office in advance to discuss their route and organize accommodations.

After spending one night in the Peitinger Castle Hall, the students continued their trip and are expected to reach Garmisch-Partenkirchen during the day. There you will prepare for the last section of your trip before you go to the Zugspitze with the first gondola tomorrow morning.

The determination and perseverance of the students not only impresses their fellow travelers, but also the residents of the Weilheim district. This unconventional journey shows that great challenges can be mastered with enthusiasm and teamwork. The students are not only brave explorers, but also role models for everyone who wants to follow their dreams.

The pupils from Berlin's bicycle trips to the Zugspitze will certainly be remembered and shows that adventures and discoveries can begin right on our doorstep.
