Berlin: Climate glue cause damage 200,000 euros - districts require reimbursement

DIV> With their protest and blockade actions, climate glue have already caused damage with a total of more than 200,000 euros in Berlin this year in Berlin. The preliminary sum results from a response from the Senate to an AfD request with a list of the districts. The state of Berlin and the districts are now trying to get the money for the repairs of streets and cleaning of monuments from the climate chaots. So far, however, the causes have not reimbursed any costs.

The districts of Pankow, Mitte, Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf and Treptow-Köpenick have given the highest amounts of damage. The costs for repairs on the highways are not included in the numbers, since the federal government and not the state of Berlin are responsible. In addition, there are at least 115,000 euros for cleaning the Brandenburg Gate of a sprayed orange color.
